High-quality internal air, ambient temperatures, soft lime-rendered walls and the atmosphere created by the breathable walls make this a healthy luxurious home. Craig’s exquisite design elements, handcrafted repurposed timber features including a Western Red Cedar entrance and Jarrah timber lintels, pigmented textured hemp walls and Basket Range Stone feature wall transform this home into an arftul expression of natural materials built with pride.
Our own personal project has been realised. Hempcrete aligns with our values and is one of highest performing walling systems in the world with a high R Value (R3.5 external wall), fire resistance (FRL 73 minutes), termite resistance and great acoustic properties. Walls lock in carbon inside the cells of the hemp, using Australian-grown hemp makes this building carbon negative, decreasing our carbon footprint. The end result - walls that breathe and regulate consistent temperatures throughout the seasons with a happy side effect of its occupants getting a good nights sleep! It has been a long time planning and now having lived a few seasons in our Hempcrete Haven we can declare we are more than impressed with its performance and aesthetics.
